RELOCATION -AUGUST 2005

In August 2005 J.N. Holland followed in the footsteps of such other composers as Handel, Haydn, Rachmaninov and Stravinsky and relocated permanently from his homeland to another country.  He now lives in Costa Rica, a Central American country with excellent arts programs.

His new endeavor (left), dubbed  Casa Holanda ,   will serve as a meeting place and elegant performance venue for artists and composers, from both the region and international arenas.

The first concert was held on December 1st, 2005 to an invitation only audience of 30 people.  Holland played the piano and performed the world premiere of his collection entitled, Evening Songs, 4 Nocturnes for the PianoThese pieces were inspired by the mystery and beauty of Costa Rican nights.

Paintings by Costa Rican artist Alonso Duránand music of Costa Rican composer, Marvin Jiménez Masíswere also featured at the event.
