First stop is Cartago with its ruins and basilica of the Virgin  We visit the cabin of one of our crew who is from this area  Your local tour guide shows you firsthand how the coffee of Costa Rica is harvested. Spend the day picking coffee with the Costa Ricans on the mountainside. Keep what you earn by basket.  Then have a country lunch with locally prepared food.

See and meet real people harvesting coffee from start to finish.  Optional is a hike through the mountaineous Costa Rican countryside. One needs to be in excellent physical shape. Witness views available nowhere else in Costa Rica
